More Fun at the Museum: Kid's Day, January 6, 2008We had more fun at the Hands-On Museum on Sunday, January 6, 2008, which was the winter version of Kid's Day, an on-air event to encourage young people (licensed or not) to have fun with Amateur Radio. Here are some pictures taken by Mark Pinsky, W8MP, of our operation:  Jack, WT8N, demonstrates Morse Code for some kids.  Brian, KD8EEH; his sister, Roxanne, KD8GWT, and their friend joined us for Kid's Day.  Brian, KD8EEH, and friend, Christin, at the control of the IC-746PRO. I wonder how they were able to operate SSB and CW at the same time???  Brian, KD8EEH, working a station during Kid's Day. He had a 40-minute QSO with another kid about video games!!  Rose, KD8EGG fills out one of her QSL cards to add to WA2HOM's collection. |
