What does "72" mean in CW??

I have been searching for the answer to this for months, and I finally found it at http://www.qsl.net/ve3mcf/elecraft_reflect/72_Signoff.txt.

Apparently it is used by QRP operators as equivalent to "73", except that QRP operators either don't have the power to make it all the way there or, as I'd like to think, do more with less. So the next time someone signs off with you using "72" you will know it just the QRP operator's way of saying "73".
